What does it mean to become part of Nessy’s Village?
You will be placed on an email list. I will NEVER sell this information. Those on my email list will be the first to receive notice of new developments and releases. You may also be asked for input that will influence my writing.
It is the first step to become eligible to be an Alpha reader or Beta reader (more on that below).
Alpha and Beta Readers
What is an Alpha reader?
An Alpha reader will receive an early digital draft of the manuscript before it is even submitted to an editor. You will be looking for plot holes or inconsistencies and flow problems, and provide your thoughts and feedback about the book in general.
What is a Beta Reader?
A Beta reader will receive a (free) author print copy of the book before it is published. You will be reviewing it for typos and other print problems.
To become an Alpha or Beta reader for my current project—The Truest Princess Volume II—you will first need to read Volume I. Then you will need to submit the form on the right. This will add you to the Nessy’s Village email list. In the “Subject” line put “Alpha Reader” or “Beta Reader” depending on which you would prefer. In the message box, include a brief statement that describes your favorite scene or character in Volume I and one or two questions that you hope to have answered in Volume II.
Remember, not everyone can be selected! I only need two or three of each type of reader.
If you are not selected for the current project, your name will be saved on a contact list as someone eligible to help with future projects. When I need new readers I will send you an email requesting a new statement related to the project in question.
